This digital collection of documents on antebellum slavery and the abolitionist movement contains manumission papers; a deed of sale; a court case file; literature, commemorative material and a newspaper documenting the movement to abolish slavery; and a souvenir booklet of photographs of 19th-century abolitionist and civil rights leader Frederick Douglass and his home. The documents date from 1814 to 1885.
