The book, New Experiments and Observations on Electricity, is the compilation and publication of Benjamin Franklin's experiments and results written to correspondents in Great Britain. The letters describe his work on lighting strikes and lightning rods and also discuss his theory of electrical fluid. This digitized copy is comprised of part 1 (third edition, 1760); part 2 (second edition, 1754); and part 3 (first edition, 1754), noted by collector Robert T. Aitchison on his bookplate and in manuscript notation on inside covers.
