About this collection

Browse This Collection

This digital collection displays images from the Leslie Linville Papers of photographs, letters, and advertisements documenting the Linville family’s trip to Mexico, circa 1908-1910, to pursue a land deal venture. The Linville and Tallman families of western Kansas, related by marriage, were wholesale grocers in the late 19th century and became land agents and family farmers. This collection provides a commentary on the wide ranging interests of members of this family and their pursuit of business opportunities which extended beyond Kansas during this period.
