This digital collection consists of the two Cessna Aircrafter yearbooks which were produced by employees in 1941 and 1942. The 1941 yearbook documents the company's efforts to support Allied forces during World War II through the production of T-50 trainer planes for the Canadian and American militaries. The 1942 yearbook documents the company’s continuing support for the Allied war effort in building T-50 trainer plane and receiving the Army-Navy "E" Award for Production.  Both yearbooks feature images of company executives, work divisions, sports teams, and candid shots of employees at work and leisure.  The Cessna Aircrafter yearbooks attest to the aviation industry’s growing prominence in World-War II-era Wichita and the rise of Cessna as a nationally recognized producer of military and commercial aircraft.
